Walley wallet adds USDCx bridge and in-app token swaps

CantonNews (July 2, 2026): Walley—the K2F Labs self-custody Canton wallet—now integrates the USDCx Bridge and supported token swaps in one interface, so users can bridge assets into Canton and swap without leaving the app. Walley supports passkey registration, existing passkeys, and recovery-phrase imports; K2F Labs says further ecosystem integrations are planned. Supported swap pairs, fees, and limits were not specified in the announcement.

Official Canton Network blog (June 29, 2026): Logical Synchronizer Upgrades (LSUs) are now live on Mainnet with Canton 3.5—successor synchronizer nodes run in parallel, validators switch automatically via onchain governance, and applications keep the same logical synchronizer identity without export/import cycles or coordinated outages. Tradeweb executes first real-time tokenized U.S. Treasury trade against USDCx on Canton

Canton Network press release / Tradeweb (July 1, 2026): Tradeweb completed the first real-time buy-sell of an on-chain U.S. Treasury security against tokenized cash (USDCx) on its platform—with synchronized Canton settlement between the Treasury leg and cash, without traditional market cutoffs or off-ledger cash. Franklin Templeton transferred a tokenized U.S. Treasury to Virtu Financial in exchange for USDCx; participants included Blockdaemon, Digital Asset, Societe Generale, Tradeweb, and Virtu Financial. Digital Asset CBO Kelly Mathieson cited progress toward always-on collateral and capital-markets infrastructure ahead of DTCC Tokenization Services.

DTCC DTC tokenization service enters limited production trades (July 2026)

DTCC press release (May 4, 2026): the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation plans initial, limited production trades of real-world assets tokenized via DTC’s tokenization service in July 2026, with a broader commercial launch targeted for October 2026. The service covers DTC-custodied assets with the same entitlements and investor protections as traditional form; 50+ firms in the DTCC Industry Working Group span custodians, asset managers, brokers, and venues—including Digital Asset (Canton Network). DTCC’s separate December 2025 partnership with Digital Asset targets tokenized U.S. Treasuries on Canton; July/October dates apply to the broader DTC tokenization service rollout.

Splice 0.6.7 mandatory for MainNet validators; Daml models take effect

Per Canton 3.4→3.5 Phase 3 schedule (Canton Network Forum thread 8777) and official Splice 0.6.7 release notes: all MainNet validator nodes must upgrade to Splice ≥0.6.7 before June 30, 2026—when updated Daml models (including traffic-based app rewards prep per CIP-0104 RewardCouponV2) take effect. Operators below 0.6.7 risk CC transfers and reward collection failing for parties on their node until upgraded. App devs with static splice-amulet dependencies must recompile against the new package versions listed in the release notes. MainNet traffic-reward dry-run begins July 7; live rewards July 28 (tentative Splice 0.6.9).

TermPrime goes live as first fixed-rate, fixed-term financing venue on Canton

PRNewswire (June 30, 2026): Term Structure Labs launched TermPrime—the first permissioned fixed-rate, fixed-term borrowing/lending venue on Canton for KYB’d institutions trading with whitelisted counterparties under existing credit lines. An early test settled a 7-day CBTC-collateral / CC-borrow position with atomic Canton synchronizer settlement, private notional data, and OTC-style lifecycle controls (margin, liquidation, early repayment). Markets may expand to USDCx and tokenized RWAs; signup at app.termprime.finance.

MainNet Logical Synchronizer Upgrade to Protocol 35 completed

Per Canton 3.4→3.5 Phase 3 schedule (Canton Network Forum thread 8777; MainNet alert 8800): Global Synchronizer MainNet upgraded to Canton Protocol Version 35 on June 27 at 13:00 UTC after the June 26 topology freeze—Canton’s first production Logical Synchronizer Upgrade (LSU) under CIP-0117, enabling zero-downtime protocol migration. Validators required Splice ≥0.6.5 before freeze; Splice 0.6.7 is required by June 30 ahead of traffic-based app rewards (MainNet July 28). Phase 4 CantonBFT migration is tentatively scheduled from July 8 (DevNet).
