Hecto reveals Predictions V2, PMX, and Vaults as next Canton private-market products

CantonNews (August 27, 2026): Hecto is expanding from its daily Allocator prediction product into a broader private-market business on Canton with three routes: Predictions V2, PMX, and Vaults. Predictions V2 will let HECTO holders lock tokens to nominate companies in phase one and introduce yes-or-no prediction markets for chosen companies in phase two. PMX is a tokenized instrument giving eligible users exposure to baskets of private companies—starting with the Hectocorn Index—with the PMX waitlist open. Vaults targets qualified participants seeking larger or company-specific opportunities via inquiry, team conversation, and identity or business checks when suitable deals arise. Predictions V2 is coming soon; PMX waitlist and Vaults inquiry are open now.

Edel Markets moves toward public beta via Supanova partnership

CantonNews (August 27, 2026): Edel Finance is preparing to bring Edel Markets into public beta through a partnership with Supanova—the Canton app Supanova reports 80,000 users who will gain access to private perpetual markets covering equities and commodities. Edel Finance launched in November 2025 as an EVM lending protocol and has since shifted toward capital-markets infrastructure on Canton; Edel Markets lets users trade markets linked to tokenized equities and commodities without buying underlying assets, with position sizes, margin, and liquidation levels visible only to involved parties. Early access is open with phased admission; no public-beta date announced yet.

Canton Development Fund approves up to 1.61M CC for Hacken and BootNode

CantonNews (August 26, 2026): The Canton Foundation Technology and Operations Committee approved grants totaling up to 1.61 million Canton Coin for Hacken and BootNode. Hacken's 860,000 CC grant supports Extractor's Canton Monitor—alerting operators to unusual permission, key, and activity changes using only data their nodes are allowed to see while keeping private business data within each organization's systems. Half funds development; half depends on production use and integration standards; Hacken committed to a dedicated maintainer for at least two years after public release. BootNode's grant provides up to 750,000 CC for dAppBooster, a Canton developer starter kit (early version already available) covering dev setup, reusable UI components, and a working example app, plus two public workshops or hackathon sessions, tutorials, and scheduled support. First BootNode milestone (450,000 CC) targets delivery within five weeks of approval; another 300,000 CC rewards up to two verified production apps built with the kit by unaffiliated teams within six months. Both projects must publish funded work as open source with milestone-tied payments.

Canborsa enables Canton Coin as collateral for CC/USDCx perpetual trading

CantonNews (August 26, 2026): Canborsa—the crypto and RWA perpetual DEX—now supports Canton Coin ($CC) as margin collateral for perpetual trading, letting holders open CC/USDCx positions with up to 5x leverage long or short without first swapping into a stablecoin. The update deepens CC utility on Canton and strengthens Canborsa's integration with the ecosystem. To mark the launch, Canborsa is running a two-week trading competition: the top 10 traders by CC/USDCx volume share a 5,000 CC prize pool. New quests award 2,500 points for opening a CC/USDCx position and 250 points per $100 in volume through the broader Points Program. IntellectEU integrates Noves Data Platform into CatalyX for institutional Canton deployments

CantonNews (August 26, 2026): IntellectEU has integrated the Noves Data Platform into CatalyX Blockchain Manager, making CatalyX the first Canton node infrastructure platform to include an on-premises private data layer for Finance and Operations across every validator deployment it supports. The integration addresses a practical bottleneck for regulated institutions entering production on Canton: deploying a validator provides network infrastructure, but audit, reconciliation, and reporting obligations also require private on-chain activity to be monitored, standardized, and made available for financial operations. Through Noves, CatalyX now combines validator infrastructure, orchestration, and post-settlement data capabilities in a single production environment—Finance and Operations teams gain standardized financial records for reconciliation, reporting, and audit alongside searchable operational data, while private data remains behind each institution's security perimeter. CatalyX already supports more than 100 active Canton validators, including deployments at DTCC and Tradeweb; the capability applies to all existing and new IntellectEU-supported deployments.

Temple approved for DvP treatment on Canton under Featured App Coupon Guidance

CantonNews (August 26, 2026): Temple has received approval for delivery-versus-payment (DvP) treatment under Canton's Featured App Coupon Guidance. The decision applies to qualifying trades on Temple where the asset and payment settle together in a single Canton transaction—these trades may now receive DvP asset marker treatment instead of the default operational-batching treatment. Temple uses this structure across its non-custodial order book: each trade has an asset side and a cash side completing in the same transaction, with users retaining control of assets until settlement and Temple not holding customer funds. Temple has operated this model since launching in January 2026; the approval places qualifying trades under the DvP treatment set out in Featured App guidance while Temple's existing Featured App status remains unchanged.

World Liberty Financial launches USD1 stablecoin directly on Canton Network

CantonNews / Business Wire (August 25, 2026): World Liberty Financial has launched its USD1 stablecoin directly on Canton Network, following a December 2025 announcement. Institutions can configure USD1 as the dollar payment in tokenized-asset transactions so the asset and payment settle together while details remain private to relevant parties. Announced uses include derivatives and institutional lending collateral, 24/7 cross-border payments, and issuance, funding, redemption, and financing of tokenized assets. The release cites more than $9 trillion in tokenized assets issued or processed on Canton each month and over $350 billion in onchain U.S. Treasurys moving across the network daily. USD1 launched in March 2025 with more than $4 billion in circulation, redeemable 1:1 for U.S. dollars and backed by short-term Treasurys, government money market funds, dollar deposits, and cash equivalents. BitGo Bank & Trust issues USD1, manages reserves, and handles minting and redemptions.

Cantex launches Cantex Connect for wallet-agnostic trading

CantonNews (August 25, 2026): Cantex introduced Cantex Connect, allowing any Canton wallet that supports a transfer memo to trade on Cantex by sending funds to the swap address and specifying the return token in the memo—no permissioned integration, browser extension, or SDK required. Atomic swaps move between any listed assets in a single send with cross-pool routing; filled orders return the requested token to the originating wallet, typically in under 15 seconds. Unfilled transfers remain pending under the sender's control and can be cancelled from the wallet. Liquidity is open to hardware wallets, custodians, MPC platforms, exchanges, and validators. Users get the same non-custodial, privacy-preserving infrastructure as existing Cantex traders across 100+ pairs spanning commodities, RWAs, utilities, and stablecoins.

Console Wallet launches first Visa card on Canton Network for direct CC spending

CantonNews (August 25, 2026): Console Wallet has opened wider access to its Visa card after completing initial testing—the first card on Canton Network that lets users spend Canton Coin directly in the real world without selling on an exchange or using an offramp. The virtual card issues instantly inside Console Wallet after a short identity check and can be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay; users pay with CC or any wallet asset via standard contactless tap while funding happens from the self-custodial wallet in the background. Console Wallet supports Canton Network, Ethereum, and Base as a browser extension and mobile app. The team's first live payment was a coffee purchase at a real terminal to demonstrate CC functioning as everyday money without friction between wallet and payment. Vanguard and Wellington complete first tokenized collateral test trades on Canton

CantonNews / Nasdaq (August 25, 2026): Nasdaq confirmed that Vanguard and Wellington Management completed their first tokenized collateral test trades on Canton Network. Nasdaq first disclosed the tests in July with two unnamed asset managers; its August 24 update names Vanguard and Wellington and explains the workflow. Collateral consisted of money market fund securities converted into digital tokens issued on Canton, each representing a direct, legally enforceable interest in underlying fund shares. Nasdaq Calypso handled eligibility checks, margin calls, and post-settlement record updates. The collateral provider sent tokens from its Canton wallet to the receiver's wallet with real-time finality and automatic collateral-record updates—no manual settlement intervention. Parties amended existing agreements to accept tokenized money market fund shares as collateral following ISDA-recommended language.
