Canton’s full-fee-burn model (traffic purchases, preapproval burns, setup burns, dust expiry, holding fees, and sender change fees) flows entirely to holders with no protocol retention. CantonNews (July 2, 2026): the Canton Foundation will sponsor WebX2026—Asia’s largest Web3 conference—at platinum level on July 13–14 at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo. The event brings together institutions, projects, investors, government officials, and media; Head of APAC Operations Thomas Chou cited ensuring Canton remains a reliable platform for institutional blockchain applications. Canton blog: Logical Synchronizer Upgrades live on Mainnet (Canton 3.5)

Official Canton Network blog (June 29, 2026): Logical Synchronizer Upgrades (LSUs) are now live on Mainnet with Canton 3.5—successor synchronizer nodes run in parallel, validators switch automatically via onchain governance, and applications keep the same logical synchronizer identity without export/import cycles or coordinated outages. Canton cites four prior protocol upgrades since 2024 MainNet launch; LSUs underpin upcoming token-standard, BFT, and scaling work under CIP-0117.
