CIP-0119 approved: free 90-day transfer-preapproval base duration

Canton Foundation CIP repository (approved 2026-06-15): CIP-0119 adds transferPreapprovalBaseDuration (default 90 days) to AmuletConfig—creating or renewing preapprovals within that window is free beyond standard traffic (including free base traffic), addressing exchange onboarding after CIP-0096 removed validator liveness rewards. Longer durations can still burn CC fees.

SBI Holdings investor notice (June 12, 2026): SBI invested further in Digital Asset’s $355M round via a subsidiary, deepening its role as a Canton founding partner and Super Validator. Digital Asset raises $355M to scale Canton Network infrastructure

PRNewswire (June 11, 2026): Digital Asset (DA), creator of Canton, closed a $355 million funding round led by a16z crypto—with participants including Citadel Securities, HSBC, BNP Paribas, Broadridge, Apollo Funds, CME Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Hanwha Investment & Securities, Tradeweb, S&P Global, Polychain, and others. DA plans to expand Canton ecosystem offerings, deepen developer and institutional engagement, and support tokenization, collateral mobility, settlement, and regulated workflows. CEO Yuval Rooz and a16z crypto GP Ali Yahya are quoted; FT Partners advised on the transaction.

Kraken enables USDCx deposits and withdrawals on Canton

Kraken Blog (June 11, 2026): Kraken supports USDCx funding via the Canton Network—described as the first step in broader Canton ecosystem support. USDCx is a Canton-native stablecoin backed 1:1 by USDC held in Circle xReserve (minted on Canton when USDC is deposited to xReserve on Ethereum). Deposits on unsupported networks may be lost; spot trading awaits liquidity conditions; geographic restrictions may apply.

Grayscale files spot Canton Coin ETF (Form S-1 with SEC)

Grayscale Investments filed a preliminary Form S-1 (June 5, 2026) for a spot ETF holding Canton Coin (CC) directly—the trust would track CC via an index price, with BitGo as custodian. The filing is not yet effective (no ticker or fee disclosed) and notes concentration risk: the 100 largest CC wallets held ~89% of circulating supply per the prospectus. Visa and Brale explore private stablecoin settlement on Canton (PoC)

Mastercard announced expanded settlement capabilities—including intraday, weekend, and holiday card settlement using regulated stablecoins (USDC, PYUSD, RLUSD, and others) across supported networks including Canton, Ethereum, Solana, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Tempo, and XRPL.
